It is both exciting times in World Whisky but this is also worrying because of the global politics and the political uncertainty and questionable leadership in several countries. It is not exactly the easiest right now in whisky or in drinks in general. Sad to see despite all the positivity, big producers halting or pausing production both in the US and UK and beyond.
It is clear that some of the marketing strategies and direction are just not working anymore and even Bourbon and Scotch are prone to market changes. We hope that geopolitical and other market disturbances will pass and 2026 will be a nice year for the world whisky industry. We have completed another year here at World Whisky & More serving the whisky community and it is heartwarming to see our community of contributors and readers engaging with each other so greatly.
